After a career of 12 years in sales and marketing functions in the wine trade,
founded Connaître et Apprécier in 1996. Marketing and sales training consultant,
also author and co-author of 10 books on wines, former chief editor of wine
magazines and author of numerous articles in wine magazines around the world.
Conducts wine events, evenings and training programmes.
Sébastien Durand-Viel (French)
Trained as a historian, and joined the company in 1998. Deals with research, writing and organisational aspects of the business.
Also regularly writes articles for specialist magazines in French, and is the author or co-author of 5 books on wine.
Allison Bonnet (English, French, Dutch/Afrikaans, Italian).
Hails from South Africa but lives between France and the UK, she handles specialist market research on wine.
Has also been editorial assistant for wine magazine. Conducts wine events and evenings.

A trained oenologist, she is a member of tasting panels for
specialist and consumer magazines and writes articles for oenological
publications.
Philippe Dreiss (French, Japanese, English)
Lived and worked for many years in Japan in various industrial and commercial fields.
Now lives in France and exports wine to Japan.
Active in market research, as in seminars and wine events.
Laurie Matheson (English and French)
Wine expert for a major wine auction house in France. She
has a wide experience in various functions in wine production
and in the restaurant business. Conducts wine events.
James Lawther MW (English and French)
One of the very rare people to have obtained the prestigious Master of Wine diploma while living in France,
Jamas worked for a number of years in the wine retail business. He is currently an independent consultant and author,
editor for Decanter magazine, and author of several books. He is a specialist in wine travel.
